A Steam Boiler is commonly a closed tubular structure in which heat energy is transferred from hot combustion gases (or the electric heating element) to water to convert it into pressurized steam which is used directly in the process heating or heating the building or simply for humidification. With this conversion of water into steam in the boiler, the dissolved solids are left behind in the boiler water & gets concentrated. Some of these impurities could exceed their solubility limits & gets precipitated inside the boiler. This could causes severe hindrance in heat transfer efficiency of the boiler resulting in over heating of metal & subsequent failure & rupture of boiler tubes.

WT-BO 301 – Steam Boiler Corrosion & Scale Inhibitor :

Description– WT-BO 301 is designed to control internal corrosion & scale in the steam boiler.

Composition: It contains phosphate, polymer based iron/ sludge dispersant & scale inhibitor, chelant and alkalinity building chemicals. Over a period of treatment the Chelant-polymer combination also acts as on-line descaler as well.

Applications: WT-BO 301 is specially formulated to inhibit the deposition of hard water scale and corrosion products inside the steam boiler where the feed water is either softened or having below 2 ppm of total hardness level. It is fully compatible for use in conjunction with an oxygen scavenger & volatile amines to provide complete protection of the system.

WT-BO 302 – Steam Boiler Corrosion & Scale Inhibitor:

Description :WT-BO 302 is designed to control internal corrosion & scale in the steam boiler.

Composition: Contains a phosphate, polymer based iron/ sludge dispersant & scale inhibitor & alkalinity building chemicals.

Applications: WT-BO 302 is specially formulated to inhibit the deposition of hard water scale and corrosion products inside the steam boiler where the feed water is either softened or having below 2 ppm of total hardness level. It is fully compatible for use in conjunction with an oxygen scavenger & volatile amines to provide complete protection of the system.

WT-BO 303- Steam Boiler Corrosion & Scale Inhibitor:

Description: WT-BO 303 is designed to control internal corrosion & scale in the steam boiler.

Composition: Contains corrosion inhibitors, scale control agents, chelating agent, alkalinity builders, and condensate corrosion inhibitor chemicals.

Applications: WT-BO 303 is specially formulated to inhibit the deposition of hard water scale and corrosion products inside the steam boiler. It will treat boiler system with softened or below 2 ppm total hardness level in feed water.

WT-BO 304 – Steam Boiler Corrosion & Scale Inhibitor:

Description: It is an all in one “extra sulfite” formulation designed to control internal corrosion & scale in the steam boiler.

Composition: WT-BO 304 contains extra sulfite oxygen scavenger, corrosion inhibitors, scale control agents, chelating agent, alkalinity builders, and condensate corrosion inhibitor chemicals.

Applications: WT-BO 304 is specially formulated to inhibit the deposition of hard water scale and corrosion products inside the steam boiler. It will treat boiler system with softened or below 2 ppm total hardness level in feed water.

  • It is an all in one formulation with an extra dose of oxygen scavenger. Also contains volatile amines to provide complete protection of the system.

WT-BO 305 – Steam Boiler Corrosion & Scale Inhibitor:

Description:It is an all in one formulation designed to control internal corrosion & scale in the steam boilers with above 90% condensate return. Complete system treatment for low pressure (<30psig), low demand and low make-up requiring Steam Boilers.

Composition: WT-BO 305 is a Nitrite based boiler water treatment containing corrosion inhibitors, Borax, scale control agents, alkalinity builders & volatile amine chemicals.

Applications: WT-BO 305 is specially formulated to inhibit the deposition of hard water scale and corrosion products inside the steam boiler. It will treat boiler system with softened or below 2 ppm total hardness level in feed water. It is economical & safe for use with low daily makeup water.

  • Promotes clean internal boiler surfaces leading to energy–efficient heat transfer.

WT-BO 306 – Steam Boiler Oxygen Scavenger:

Description: It is designed to quickly react with dissolved oxygen in the boiler feed water & thus reduces the major cause of oxygen pitting corrosion in the boiler system.

Composition: Contain catalyzed sodium sulfite chemical.

Applications: It provides corrosion protection to boiler equipment & reduces costly boiler repairs due to tube failure caused by oxygen pitting.

  • It has low toxicity & non hazardous to the environment when used as directed.

Control Limit: Maintain 30 to 70 ppm Sulfite level.

WT-BO 307 – Steam Boiler Oxygen Scavenger:

Description: It is designed to quicklyreact with dissolved oxygen in the boiler feed water & thus reduces the major cause of oxygen pitting corrosion in the boiler system.

Composition: Contains the oxygen scavengers- sodium sulfite, sodium bi-sulfite, sodium lingo-sulfonate, & erythorbate chemicals.

Application: It provides corrosion protection to boiler equipments & reduces costly boiler repairs due to tube failure caused by oxygen pitting.

  • It has low toxicity & non hazardous to the environment when used as directed.

WT-BO 308 – Steam Boiler Oxygen Scavenger:

Description: It is designed to quickly react with dissolved oxygen in the boiler feed water & thus reduces the major cause of oxygen pitting corrosion in the boiler system.

Composition: Contains blend of oxygen scavenger & neutralizing amine (DEHA) chemicals.

Application: It provides corrosion protection to boiler equipment & reduces costly boiler repairs due to tube failure caused by oxygen pitting.

  • DEHA is a versatile & volatile organic oxygen scavenging compound which protects the steam distribution system from oxygen corrosion. It also provides metal passivation. In the steam header it neutralizes low pH carbonic acid & protects the condensate system from carbonic acid attack. This may reduce or eliminate the need for additional neutralizing amine.
  • Also DEHA does not add dissolved solids to the system.

Control Limit: Maintained simply by keeping the condensate pH between 7.5 and 8.5 & by maintaining 30 to 70 ppm Sulfite level in the boiler water.

WT-BO 309 –  A Triple Blend of Neutralizing Amine:

Description:For Extensive Protection of Steam/Condensate Lines.

Composition: Contains a triple blend of Morpholine, Diethyl Amino Ethanol (DEAE} & Cyclohexylamine chemicals.

Application: A convenient, neutralizing amine, corrosion inhibitor blend for treating entire steam and condensate return systems.

  • Volatilizes with steam & neutralizes the corrosive effects of carbonic acid throughout all steam distribution lines.

Control limit: Maintained simply by keeping the condensate pH between 7.5 and 8.5.

WT-BO 310 – Triple Blend of Neutralizing Amine:

Description: For Extensive Protection of Steam/Condensate Lines.

Composition: Contains a triple blend of Morpholine, Diethyl Hexyl Amine (DEHA) & CycloHexyl Amine chemicals.

Application: A convenient, neutralizing amine & corrosion inhibitor blend for treating entire steam and condensate return systems.

  • Designed to minimize corrosion in condensate lines by balancing pH and DEHA oxygen corrosion inhibitor.

Control limit: Maintained simply by keeping the condensate pH between 7.5 and 8.5.

WT-BO 311 – pH Booster:

Composition: Sodium Hydroxide 45%.

  • Concentrated liquid pH booster for water systems. Developed for boiling and cooling systems to raise pH to desired levels to prevent corrosion & scale.
  • It raises the hydrate alkalinity in boiler water.

WT-BO 312 – Pre-treatment and Cleaning chemical:

It is used for pre-treatment & shutdown cleaning of boilers and closed re-circulating systems.

Composition: Tri sodium phosphate, sodium carbonate & Borate.

Applications: The formulation is designed to remove deposits of mill scale, welding debris, oil, grease & other fouling materials prior to placing the system into normal operation.

WT-BO 313 – On-Line Descaler Chemical:

Description: For safe removal of deposits and scale build-up in water systems.

Composition: This formulation contains highly effective polymeric blend of Versaflex One, AR-540 polymer compounds & tolytriazole.

Applications: WT-BO 313 is goodfor on-line cleaning & scale removal from water systems. It uses the dual mechanism of dispersion & acidic chelation. It could either be used as a supplement to cooling and boiler system scale/corrosion inhibitors or as a safe on-line descaler in place of dangerous mineral acids for on-line descaling.

Control limit: Usual range is 20 to 2,000 ppm. Please consult your WTCCI specialist to determine required quantities.
